On May 18, 2024, Fukuyama Transporting (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., in collaboration with Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia’s (USIM) Japanese Language and Culture Center and the Malaysian Japanese Language Teaching Association, successfully organized a Japanese speech contest in Nilai, Malaysia. The event received full sponsorship from the Komaru Kotsuu Foundation, reflecting the company’s dedication to fostering cultural exchange and language proficiency.
Themed “Transportation,” the competition featured nine participants from six public universities: USIM, International Islamic University Malaysia (UIAM), National University of Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UniMAS), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), and Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT). Each contestant delivered speeches that showcased their Japanese language skills and insights on transportation-related topics.
This initiative aligns with Malaysia’s “Look East Policy,” promoting knowledge exchange and expertise development through student exchange programs and industry collaborations.
