Japanese Essay & Speech Contest for Universities in Malaysia (JESC2025)

On 28 May 2025, Fukuyama Transporting (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., in collaboration with Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia’s (USIM) Japanese Language and Culture Center and the Malaysian Japanese Language Teaching Association, successfully organized the second Japanese Speech Contest in Nilai, Malaysia. The event was fully sponsored by the Komaru Kotsuu Foundation, reflecting the company’s strong commitment to fostering cultural exchange and enhancing language proficiency among Malaysian students.

Centered around the theme of “Transportation,” the competition featured 15 participants from eight public institutions: Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), National University of Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), MARA Japan Industrial Institute (MJII), and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). Each contestant delivered a speech in Japanese, demonstrating both linguistic proficiency and thoughtful insights on transportation-related topics.

This initiative supports Malaysia’s “Look East Policy,” which emphasizes knowledge exchange and the development of expertise through educational and industrial partnerships, including student exchange programs. Through its continued sponsorship and engagement, Fukuyama Transporting (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. reaffirms its dedication to cultural enrichment and educational advancement in the region.
